Jacob

Jacob

Since a young age, Jacob has been interested in music, magic tricks, martial arts, electronics, and skateboarding. He grew up in house hold where his father (who was a classically trained musician) would often sing and play guitar for family gatherings. His father also taught him some magic tricks, and got him a magic set when he was 5 years old. As a child of the 80s (watching Karate Kid, GI Joe, and Ninja Turtles), he found a fascination with ninjas and self defense. Having been picked on himself on some occasions, he was mesmerized by watching the Kung Fu TV show, and how effortlessly the star would defend himself and others without and inflict minimal damage. He trained with his younger brother in whatever books and videos about martial arts he could find (including Judo, Aikido, Karate, Ninjitsu, and Taekwondo). In middle school Jacob picked up skateboarding, and made skateboard ramps with his friends, where he would go flying down a hill at top speed, to see how much air he could get, and often go flying into bushes (usually intentionally). He took some inspiration from his cousin, who was a skateboarder too, and also took him snowboarding on a few occasions. In high school, Jacob picked up magic again, and teamed up with another magician to do shows professionally. He went on to do hundreds of shows professionally in the Pacific Northwest area, later performing with his wife, to rave reviews. Jacob also picked up an interest in electronics from his father, who used to tinker. Jacob liked to take things apart to figure out how they worked, and ended up making his version of a robot, for a school science project. Though Jacob's testing in high school showed he might have a propensity for electrical engineering, his creativity with performing magical illusions took him towards media production in college. In college he studied web development and design, video production and audio production. He ended up doing an internship in a local recording studio. Jacob's professional career would take him through web development and design, into mobile app development, video game development, and even electronics engineering for various projects. He's lead teams in fields spanning from fortune 500 retail, to medical and health related software.
